The High Voltage staff collectively has years of professional musicianship in the recording studio and on the stage. They have a commitment to the success of each child’s musical journey. Because safety is a priority, all instructors and volunteers are fully vetted with background checks.
Odie Cole
Head Instructor
Odie has been a musician for over 30 years, best known for playing Bass in Loss Mescaleros, Buttercup, The Swindles, Nasa County, Garrett T Capps and numerous others. He started teaching in the High Voltage Music Program since it started in 2016 and has been a regular instructor since. Odie is proficient in bass and guitar and maintains all program instruments.
Patrick Péna
Instructor
Patrick is a musician from the Southside of San Antonio who has been in bands since his teen years, including The Hares, The Sandworms and his very own band, Harvey McLaughlin. He also plays keyboards and guitar with the Hickoids and Eddie and the Valiants. As a well-known musician, he has continued to teach High Voltage Music since 2017, helping mold creative minds. Patrick is proficient in the keyboard, piano, and guitar.
Jeremy Solloa
Instructor
Jeremy is an alumnus and the inspiration for the High Voltage Music Program. He started teaching in 2021 and has been playing music since he was seven years old. He had his first band at 14 and has played shows in San Antonio and Austin. Jeremy currently works with youth for the non-profit Empower House. Jeremy is proficient in guitar and drums.
